I must say, this was a Murphy hunt. Just about every thing that could have gone wrong DID. I was very frustrated about what happened, a broken T with a back up T that was only 15 mw.

I started out just by the 15 and 91 fwy's. No one could hear me so I left the beam there and drove to Hidden Hills Rd and still nothing. I drove to Yorba Linda and Rose and parked in a parking lot and used my 2w radio to talk on for the hunt.

During my talks I put up a GQ T on a string and pulled it up a tree about 20', but that only worked for about 1/2 mile or so. I did get some help from Mike KD6SNE. He went home and picked up a 5 to 20w T and by the time it was running only 2 teams were out. Thank you Mike.

I found what happened to the main T. The center pin was not making contact with the antenna connector, so it was transmitting at the connector only.

Thank you all for coming out. It seams it was a fun hunt after all, or maybe challenging.
