KF6RNL hid the December Fullerton Radio Club hunt. Bob and Leigh used a flea-power rig and 4-element beam to put a strong signal to the start point from the water tower area atop Canon Lane, south of Carbon Canyon Road. Their holiday refreshments at the end were a nice touch.
In case you'd like to put out a big signal from that location regularly, there are two "lots" for sale where we parked. Only $74,500 for both, but that's just for the dirt. And that dirt lays more vertical than horizontal. Doesn't fit my definition of "lots."
Bob says that for this writeup, he wants to welcome Clarke's first-time ride-alongs, claim ignorance as to how the 'random tones' in the T sounded a little like Jingle Bells, and to wish everyone happy holidays.Crenshaw Factors did not affect the results.
