N6XFC was on duty at home with the 'Kids'
I hid in Huntington Beach at the corner of Garfield and Seapoint. Equipment was Icom-02AT (low power) 1/2 watt into 4 element quad.
The intersection of Garfield and Seapoint is about 100 feet below the average terrain, so it made for a weak signal at the start. Many of the hunters complained of no signal (or very little) until they got to Huntington Beach.
