Along the north side of the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station, just south of the 405/22 freeway embankment, there's a "sort-of" dirt road. It's not posted, so Tom suggested we put the November FRC T there. But just a week before the hunt, a gate appeared at the east entrance to the road. So we ended up hiding at that gate, which is at the end of Old Bolsa Chica Road. The 11-element beam was pointed at a tank inside the base, in hopes of leading the hunters too far south and east. That didn't happen, but some teams ended up cruising the housing area just north of the freeway, while piling on some miles.
