NOVEMBER 17TH
FULLERTON RADIO CLUB
TRANSMITTER HUNT

The new FRC boundaries have opened up the Newport Beach Back Bay area.  WB6UZZ, WA6OPS and I had so much fun hiding on the west bank a few months ago that we decided to try the east bank this time.  We ran about 750 milliwatts into the 11-element beam, pointed toward Galaxy Park on the west side.  The T was near the intersection of San Joaquin Hills Road and Backbay Drive, tight against the hills so that the signal was well shielded from the start point and also from the intersection of San Joaquin and Jamboree, which was the only legal way in.  To add to the fun, the one-way stretch of Backbay Drive
from Shellmaker Road to San Joaquin is closed for repairs.

As always, N6AIN's vehicle arrived first.  This time, Deryl and Steve had low mileage, too.
