Seems like we haven't had a Turnbull Canyon hunt for a while. So April, Tom and I, along with Jay Thompson W6JAY and his dad Richard WA6NOL, put the T just inside the wilderness park at the end of Skyline Drive in Hacienda Heights (Thomas Guide 677-G3).

The T ran about 100 milliwatts into a beam pointed at Mt. Baldy. Some teams got only the Baldy Bounce at the start, but others got varying levels of direct signal, apparently from knife-edging over the intervening hills or some scatter-back. Maybe it depended on where you were parked at the start.
