The FRC hidden transmitter was just one of ten T's that I hid on June 16. The others were part of the radio-orienteering session at Schabarum Regional Park, near Rowland Heights. At 7 PM, I had gotten all but one of the transmitters out of the park, so it was clear that the Fullerton Radio Club T wasn't going to be in Newport Beach this time.
Tom WB6UZZ, April WA6OPS and I put a micropower T near the fire road gate at the intersection of Skyline and Suncrest in La Habra Heights (TG-678-F7). That's a "back door" walking entrance to Schabarum Park. The 11-element beam was pointed at the Brea Heights and apparently gave some good bounces. Most hunters weren't fooled for long, but at least one team drove all the way north to the 60 freeway.
Crenshaw factors did not affect the results.
