Hiders: Joe K0OV, Tom WB6UZZ and David KE6IPY
Hiding Place:
No matter where you hide on Saturday night, someone will tell you they hid
there before, or at least planned to.  With the help of April WA6OPS, David
KE6IPY and Tom WB2LRH, I put a 200 milliwatt T and 4-el beam along the road
to Diamond Ranch High School, near the Phillips Ranch exit of the 60 Freeway.
If it hadn't been raining cats and dogs, we would have the beam far down the
hill to give an even better shielded bounce off the northern hills.

N6AIN says he tried to hide right there once and was chased out be school
security.  Our fast talking was apparently more successful, but the guard
kept a watchful eye on us the whole time.  Imagine anyone being concerned
about clean-cut folks like T-hunters!

Only 40% of the teams were fooled into going out Carbon Canyon or other roads
to points east.  N6IDF's new yagi mount got him the victory.
