The January 17th 2004
Fullerton Radio Club
Transmitter Hunt
Hider: Dan W6DFW
Hiding Place: In the Walnut Canyon area of Anaheim Hills at the
entrance to the Oak Canyon Nature Center.
The configuration consisted of 5 watts RF fed into a 6 element yagi
beam. The beam was pointed in a generally southwest direction such that
it was broadside to the starting point. To further complicate matters
the antenna was arranged with a mechanism to continuously change the
polarization from horizontal to vertical and back with a 1.4 minutes
cycle time.
First team to find the T was N6XFC and N6MJN however the lowest
mileage was turned in by the team of K0OV, KE6IPY, AND KC6ICZ.
A great time was had by all.
