The T was hidden at Bernardo Yorba Middle School on Fairmont Blvd. just 1/4 mile south of Yorba Linda Blvd. in Yorba Linda.

The unique part of this hide was that it was a direct drive right off the hill with a majority of hunters arriving in 18 to 35 minutes after the start. Even N6ZHZ/KD6CYG beat the team of N6AIN/N6EKS for speed by 2 minutes! The real T was a 5mw GQ box with a vertical wire antenna sitting on top of a 12 foot cinder block wall right next to the school building. This seemed to confuse and perplex even the most expert of hunters for about 20 minutes as about 10 of them all converged on a planter of trees and bushes right below it looking DOWN most of the time. Just behind the block wall there was a decoy T consisting of a GQ box hooked up to a conspicuous looking 4 element quad sitting on a picnic table next to the building. The sign in sheet was located there and many teams signed in right away and then realized they had not found the real T.

The last team in of KA6KZZ/KC6NFF ended up sniffing the signal to the reflector of the quad with a "full scale reading" but hardly anything emanating from the driven element. They quickly figured that was not the T and located the real one just minutes later using only handhelds for sniffing gear.
