I scrounged every transmitter I owned and managed to locate 16 of them. Upon charging batteries and checking id and programs I found I only had 15 working. These were nicely prepared and along with 3 x 4el Yagis, 1 x 3 el Yagi, a endfed array like a super ringo, and lots of 1/2 wave clip leads. Three were PicCon driven, but I couldn't seem to change the program, two were AF6O boxes, seven were squawkboxes and three were microTs.
 
This array of stuff was carefully hidden after a nice breakfast at Cocos and each location marked with great accuracy on my De Lorme mapping program. After I had them all placed I thought it would be safe to store the map program to insure I had the locations if the computer crashed. I did so and what do you know....De Lorme didn't store the waypoints but did reboot the program and I lost all of the carefully laid out locations of my transmitters. Oh well we will just have to hunt them down during the recovery time. It took the full 1.5 hours that Dave had allowed for hiding to get all fifteen safely stashed.
 
I started hunting and had found 9 and heard 10 before it was time to pick up the transmitters and meet back at Cocos for dinner. This is about what I usually do with the beam and special receivers and all the bells and whistles used for the allday hunts. So I concluded that the Doppler is a great way to hunt in a FFA hunt.
 
It took me almost 2 hours to round up all those transmitters. One of the microTs was dying and could only be heard (on the Doppler) for about 200 ft and it was most difficult to locate. I almost missed dinner, but did squeeze in a hamburger while discussing the results with Dave, He Who Was in Charge. I think Ten of my 15 transmitters were found and I found 9 other peoples for a score of 19 which tied with Deryl for the win. Much better than I expected with the Doppler.
 
I had placed a 80dB variable attenuator in the middle of the Doppler, but it was not particularily useful as the Doppler was rarely saturated with more  than one signal at any one time.
