I drove out early to look around for some good hiding places. Went west on Rancho California Road,  then turned south on Via Santa Rosa and left on Via Horca and another left on Camino Gatillo. There is a hill to the east that over looks all of Temecula. This should be a good place for my T1.

After breakfast I rushed out to the hill to make sure I got there before anyone else. I place T1 in the bushes on the top of the hill. Back down at the bottom of the hill I put out one of my Squawkbox (T5) hanging in the brush.  About a 1/8 of a mile farther up Camino Gatillo, I place T4, a GQ micro T in the bushes. I then headed back to Via Horca to a turn out I say earlier I thought would be a nice spot. On the way there I met up Tom K6VCR. Hope they hadn’t used my spot. When I got there I could hear a VCR T but it seamed to be farther down the road, so out went my other Squawkbox (T3) at the turnout. Via Horca end a short distance where it meets the end of Via Santa Rosa. The VCR T is strong there but I still have one T to put out. Went down Via Santa Rosa to Via Gorrion about a ¼ mile and put out my last T (T2).

After getting the last T out I drove back up To Via Horca and found the K6VCR T tied to a railing beside the road. The rest of the day is kind of a blur. The last T I found was KF6GQ's main T about 500 miles (actualy less that 10) east of Temecula. By the time I found it, it was already 4:30 pm so I rushed back to pick up my Ts.
