T1 was located about 4.5 miles west of the start point near the top of Gilbert at Castlewood Drive in Fullerton. It ran 1 watt into a quarter wave whip and was situated next to a chain link fence on a hiking/horse trail 100 feet off the road.
T1 was nearly line of sight to the hill and very strong there but became weak after hunters left the hill. Everyone found this last between 8:15 and 9:45pm.
T2 was a 1 milliwatt GQ Box at the far north end of the Panarama Nature Preserve/Park in Fullerton. This is approximately 175 yards northeast of Skyline and just 50 yards west of the Summit House Restaurant. Best access was via a gate on the north side of Skyline Drive just east of the new houses. Gate "appeared" to be locked however the hasp could be opened.
Even though this was a real close in signal several hunters drove around the area awhile before finding it. N6AIN had 4.9 miles, WA6DLQ had 5.23, and KF6RNL had 18.
