The "T" was hidden alongside the Uper Newport Bay in a parking lot off to the side of Backbay Dr. ( Orange County Thomis Guide page 889 section D 3&4.) The transmitter was continous, however the power would vary with modulation every second or two from 1/2 watt to 2 watts and back. Clark (WB6ADC) commented that this made it take longer to finde the hidden "T". Apparently it didn't affect his milage, though, as he and Richard (N6UZS) were the winning team. KK6ME and KD6LOR actually had lower milage but gave a higher ending milage because they couldn't hide next month. (A LIKELY STORY!)
