Just a quick message to congratulate the hunters who participated and
found the real T1 and T2.
T1 was set up by Clark WB6ADC near a restricted area by the end of
Woodview Rd. in Chino Hills. T1 was 5 milliwatts, vertical polarized
and pointed at Baldy. Clark activated T1 at 6:57 PM as planned while
T2 was horizontal and at first attempt pointed at Baldy. T2 was activated
at 7 PM as planned and ran for three minutes before I (KB6NYW) turned
T2 off to check with the starting point to see If T2 could be heard.
The Baldy bounce failed with 1 watt and I readjusted T2 to point
directly at T1. The hunt had officially start.
Mean while I finished setting up a bogus T2 which by original plan was
placed 48 feet behind T2 to radiate as a passive repeater to lure
hunters away from T2. How ever this attempt failed due to the change in
direction of T2.
The location of T2 was high up on the west side of a hill north west of
the corner of Hamner and Fifth St. in Norco just west of the 15 Freeway.
Clark and I eagerly watched of the hunters as they came in and sorted
out the real T2 and the fake T2. T1 could be heard from T2 how ever due
to the surounding area their were confusions as to which way to go to get to T1.

: Special note from ZHZ , Unable to make the new 7 PM starting time and was most upset and has officially protested against the 7 PM starting time. Quote Theirs no reason to participate if they can't start officially unquote.
